– Fayha’ Shalash is a Ramallah-based Palestinian journalist. She graduated from Birzeit University in 2008 and she has been working as a reporter and broadcaster ever since. Her articles appeared in several online publications.

Victoria Brittain

Victoria Brittain worked at The Guardian for many years and has lived and worked in Washington, Saigon, Algiers, Nairobi, and reported from many African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries. She is the author of a number of books on Africa and was co-author of Moazzam Begg’s Guantanamo memoir, Enemy Combatant, author and co-author of two Guantanamo verbatim plays, and of Shadow Lives, the forgotten women of the war on terror.

Ghada Majadli

Ghada Majadli is a researcher and Al-Shabaka policy analyst. She holds a master’s in human rights and transitional justice from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her work primarily focuses on Palestinian health and human rights, with particular attention to the multilayered system of control and management of Palestinians’ health by the Israeli regime.

Rick Zand

Rick Zand is a teacher and writer who lived in Saudi Arabia from 2013-2022. He witnessed social change as well as economic diversification endeavors during his time working for Aramco. He has published articles for PBS/ Frontline’s Tehran Bureau and various other news outlets and journals. He holds a BA in English from the University of Colorado and an MA in Human Rights and Global Ethics from the University of Leicester.

Haidar Eid

Dr Haidar Eid is Associate Professor in the Department of English Literature, Al-Aqsa University, Gaza Strip, Palestine.

Tariq Ali

Tariq Ali was born in Lahore, educate there and later at Oxford. He is a lifelong activist and writer, one of the founders of the Stop the War coalition and has written fifty books on world politics and history, several novels including the Islam Quintet and is a long-standing editor at New Left Review. His last book was ‘Winston Churchill: His Times, His Crimes.’
