A general strike was declared on Monday morning in the West Bank and Jerusalem in mourning for the five Palestinian young men who were killed during armed clashes at dawn with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho.
In a statement Palestinian factions and national figures called for participating in popular events and rallies to be held today in cities villages refugee camps and flashpoint areas across the occupied territories.
“The occupation state’s crimes and massacres that our people are exposed to in Jerusalem the West Bank the Gaza Strip and 1948 occupied Palestine emphasize the need for our people to join forces against the occupation and its settlers and to uphold their rights and constants” the factions’ statement said.
They appealed to the international community and the world’s free people to intervene to stop the Israeli massacres and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
