Head of Hamas’s foreign political bureau Khaled Mishaal has said that “the recent talk about a truce in Palestine means that we give Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu a chance to resolve the conflict in accordance with the Israeli agenda.”
“This alleged truce means that the Palestinians should remain silent about their rights and stop resisting in order to make way for the Israeli occupation to do whatever it wants” Mishaal stated in a symposium held by the Islamic Movement in Jordan on Tuesday.
Describing the Palestinian-Israeli truce as a “big hoax” the Hamas leader affirmed that any deal to calm the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories would only serve the occupation state which he accused of seeking “to carry out its agenda projects and plans at the lowest possible cost.”
“If you want a truce you should stop the occupation state’s crimes” he stressed.
The Hamas official also said that the absence of accountability for the occupation state’s crimes against the Palestinian people emboldened it to persist in demolishing their homes and committing successive massacres against them.
He warned that the occupation state targets Jordan’s status as a guardian of the Aqsa Mosque criticizing the Arab countries for leaving the Palestinian people alone in defending the Ummah’s rights.
