Member of Hamas’s political bureau Sami Abu Zuhri has condemned the intended visit of the chairman of the Moroccan senate to the Israeli occupation state as a &ldquostab to the issue of Jerusalem&rdquo and called for backtracking on such a step.
&ldquoWe affirm our rejection of the visit which the President of the Moroccan House of Councilors intends to make to the occupation state&rdquo Abu Zuhri said in social media remarks on Tuesday.
The Hamas official described such a Moroccan step as &ldquopersistence in normalizing relations with the occupation state&rdquo and &ldquoan act of provocation to the Palestinian people.&rdquo
He warned that Morocco’s chief councilor’s visit to the occupied territories to meet with Israeli officials would provide support for the occupation regime and legalize its crimes against the Palestinian people.
