Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has offered his sincerest condolences to the Moroccan people and their leadership over the tragic loss of life from the earthquake that hit the country late Friday.
In a brief statement on Saturday Haneyya expressed his solidarity with Morocco in its ordeal and his deep sympathy with the bereaved families.
He asked Allah Almighty to bestow his mercy upon the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.
At least 1037 have been killed and 1200 injured after a powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.8 struck Morocco according to state media.
The 6.8-magnitude quake damaged buildings triggered landslides and sent people running into the streets.
