The Government Media Office has called on the international organizations in the Gaza Strip without exception to immediately go to Al-Shifa Hospital in order to protect it and its medical personnel against Israeli attacks and end the blockade imposed on it.
In a statement on Sunday the Media Office held the Israeli occupation regime and the international community especially the US administration fully responsible for the lives and safety of the medical staff the wounded patients and displaced civilians inside Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
“We salute all the medical crews for their heroic brave and legendary contributions and for carrying out their national and historic role towards our great Palestinian people” the Media Office said.
The Media office accused the Israeli occupation regime of committing a premeditated crime against Al-Shifa Hospital and spreading lies about it.
“The Israeli occupation is besieging Al-Shifa Hospital and flying many drones over the complex which open fire intensively at the hospital’s courtyards and anyone moving inside it” the Media Office said adding that a number of civilians inside the hospital were injured by gunfire from the drones.
The Media Office said that one of the displaced families tried yesterday to take the risk and leave the Shifa Hospital in the hope of surviving but the Israeli occupation army bombed and massacred the family.
“Because of the power blackout at Al-Shifa Complex one of the workers wanted to check the electric generator in order to turn it on and save the lives of dozens of patients who are dependent on ventilators but the occupation army targeted him directly and injured him in his neck” the Media Office added.
The Media Office affirmed that many civilians inside Al-Shifa Hospital suffer from critical injuries after being hit by gunfire from Israeli drones.
