Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas has announced its responsibility for the shooting operation at the Tunnel checkpoint near Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
“A group of al-Qassam fighters attacked enemy forces at that military checkpoint separating northern Bethlehem from the south of Occupied Jerusalem and they were able thanks to God to kill and wound a number of Zionist soldiers in revenge for the martyrs’ blood in Gaza” al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Thursday.
One Israeli soldier was killed and five others were injured in the morning when three resistance fighters from al-Qassam Brigades stormed the Tunnel checkpoint aboard a car and opened fire at them. All the shooters were killed during the operation.
