The Hamas Movement has responded to the Israeli occupation army’s allegations about the detention of Israeli captives in Al-Shifa Medical Complex affirming that these claims are intended to cover up its lies and security and military failure.
In a statement on Sunday Hamas described the Israeli army’s claim about using Al-Shifa Hospital to detain Israeli prisoners as “misleading and false.”
“The Nazi occupation army persists in its campaign of lies and misinformation when it talks about detaining Zionist prisoners at Al-Shifa Hospital and claims that a female soldier was killed and found in the hospital” Hamas said.
“Al-Qassam Brigades clearly confirmed that the health conditions of wounded Zionist prisoners had been monitored and treatment was provided for them in hospitals before they were taken back to their detention sites. Therefore there was nothing new in what the Zionist army spokesman said. He was just attempting to cover up his army’s lies and its claim that Hamas had used Al-Shifa Hospital as a military command and control center” Hamas underscored.
“The occupation army which killed its citizens by aerial bombardment on October 7 according to the Zionist police investigation that was published by Haaretz newspaper and Hebrew media was responsible for the killing of some of the captives. Al-Qassam Brigades already provided information about the killing of prisoners during Israeli raids” Hamas added.
“We have repeatedly called for the formation of an international committee to investigate the occupation’s lies about the hospitals that its army turned into military posts after forcing the patients and medical staff to leave them at gunpoint and under threat” the Movement said.
For its part the health ministry in Gaza said the photos and videos that were showed by the spokesman for the Israeli army about Al-Shifa Hospital “cannot be verified.”
“Given what the Israeli occupation reported this confirms that the health ministry’s hospitals provide services to everyone who needs them regardless of their gender and race” the ministry added.
