A high-level Qatari delegation visited the Gaza Strip on Sunday to get a first-hand look at the size of destruction in the war-torn coastal enclave and obtain information from the local authorities about the urgent needs of the population.
This delegation which is led by Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation Lulwa al-Khater is considered the first official Arab delegation visiting Gaza since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7.
The delegation includes members of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and is slated to visit the Committee’s headquarters which was bombed about two weeks ago.
The Qatari delegation intends to meet with health and public service officials in Gaza in order to assess the situation and determine the urgent needs of the population.
