Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has mourned Sheikh Saleh Al-Aruri along with a group of its commanders, stressing in a statement on Wednesday that their assassination is a crime that brings to light the necessity to expand the fight against the Israeli occupation in all arenas as a duty of all Muslims and Arabs.
Al-Aruri, the Deputy Political Bureau Chairman of Hamas Movement, along with two commanders of Al-Qassam Brigades and four Hamas members were martyred in an Israeli air strike on a building in southern Beirut on Tuesday evening, Al-Qassam statement said, describing them as “heroes” who were murdered in a “cowardly assassination crime.”
The Brigades hailed the martyrs and praised their efforts in confronting the Israeli occupation and defending the Palestinian land and sanctities.
“Assassinating our leaders is a great honor that will boost our determination to carry on with our resistance until the liberation of Palestine. The martyrs are our role models that we look up to,” Al-Qassam statement concluded.
