The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced US secretary of state Anthony Blinken for repeating what it said “his fallacies and misleading narrative” following 96 days of barbaric Israeli aggression against the Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
“Secretary Blinken’s attempts to justify the genocide being committed by the terrorist occupation army against Palestinian civilians by claiming that the Palestinian resistance embeds itself among civilians are desperate attempts to whitewash the occupation’s crimes against Gaza children, women and elderlies,” Hamas said in a statement on Wednesday.
Hamas stressed that Blinken’s renewed remarks on the Palestinian resistance reflected the size of the US administration’s involvement in the war crimes that are committed by the Israeli army in Gaza.
Hamas also slammed Blinken’s stated position on the lawsuit that was filed by South Africa at the International Court of Justice against the Israeli occupation regime over its genocidal crimes in Gaza, describing his remarks in this regard as a “disregard for the international law,” and a “US attempt to obstruct international justice.”
The Movement called on the US administration to stop adopting policies that prolong the Israeli aggression and genocide in Gaza and to work immediately on ending the war.
It also called on the US administration to stop tampering with international laws and principles in order to support Israel’s terrorism and war crimes.
