Head of Hamas’s foreign political bureau Khaled Mishaal has reiterated his Movement’s rejection of the two-state solution, saying that the Palestinian people demand liberation from the occupation, independence and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
“The West says that October 7 has opened up prospects for a political vision, so they have returned to talk about their old commodity, which is the two-state solution,” Mishaal told Ammar Podcast on Tuesday, affirming that Hamas cannot accept the two-state solution or recognize the occupation state.
Mishaal said that the Palestinian people revived their aspiration for a Palestine from the sea to the river and from the north to the south following October 7, pointing out that “the 1967 borders represents 21 percent of Palestine, which is practically one fifth of its land, so this cannot be accepted.”
