A campaign titled “The aggression continues; do not get used” has been launched to highlight the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing for 120 days.
The campaign was launched on Saturday by a consortium of media groups and figures to alert the world to the importance of not becoming accustomed to the scenes of killing and destruction that have been happening on a daily basis in Gaza for four months.
“The hundreds of massacres and the watching of bloodshed behind the screens should not lead the viewer to believe that the scene of blood has become cold, because there is no cold except what the displaced feel in their tents in Rafah,” the organizers of the campaign said in a statement.
The organizers said they wanted to make day 120 of the Israeli aggression against Gaza a “station to break the silence, over the course of one week, and send a message to Gaza and its people that you are not alone and that we will not get used to the scene or become watchers, but rather we will remain actors.”
The campaign is slated to continue until next Friday and will include online activities and joint media events held by a number of media outlets.
The campaign also aims to make the media coverage of events in Gaza regain momentum as the Israeli massacres and the difficult humanitarian crisis persist in the midst of inaction from the international community.
