The Hamas Movement, the Arab Liberation Front, and the Palestine Liberation Front said in a joint statement, “no ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip would be reached unless our people’s demands are met, including halting the aggression, completely withdrawing from the Gaza Strip, lifting the siege, reconstructing Gaza, and implementing a serious prisoner exchange deal.”
This came during a meeting held in the Gaza Strip to discuss the developments of the Israeli genocide war in the Gaza Strip.
The three factions confirmed the right of the Palestinian people to resist the Israeli occupation by all given means and the right to self-determination, underscoring that “the Palestinian people and their national forces are the ones who decide what the day after war would look like.”
They stressed the need to protect the home front and national unity, calling for taking an immediate action to implement the Beijing National Consensus Agreement and previous agreements.
They urged for the restoration of the role of the Palestine Liberation Organization, activate and develop its institutions to become the Palestinian home that brings together all the national factions, and to return to its natural role in leading the Palestinian people and achieving their hopes and aspirations for freedom, independence and statehood.
The factions also called for activating and mobilizing all the forces of the Palestinian people, especially in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the 1948 occupied Palestine, to confront the ongoing Israeli aggression and war of genocide.
They saluted all the Palestinian people across all Palestinian territories and hailed the resistance fighters, prisoners, wounded and martyrs.
