Two Palestinian young men were martyred on Tuesday morning and four others, including three paramedics, were injured when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at them in Nablus, north of the West Bank.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, 25-year-old Diyaa Duwaikat died of critical bullet injuries in his abdomen and thigh in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.
The health ministry also said that a young man identified as 33-year-old Abdul-Hakim Shaheen was shot dead by the IOF in the Old City of Nablus.
Spokesman for the Red Crescent Ahmed Jibril said that Israeli soldiers prevented an ambulance crew from entering al-Hashashin neighborhood in the Old City in order to provide Shaheen with medical assistance.
According to Palestinian security sources, the IOF kidnaped Shaheen after critically injuring him during a raid in the Old City of Nablus, but later he was pronounced dead.
Three Red Crescent paramedics also suffered bullet injuries after Israeli soldiers deliberately opened fire at them as they were trying to provide medical assistance for citizens during the IOF raid in Balata camp.
