Hamas Movement urged the Arab and Islamic countries meeting in Riyadh next Monday to fulfill their duty towards the occupied city of Jerusalem, and to activate their economic and political pressure tools.
The member of the Movement’s political bureau Haroun Nasser al-Din said, “It is time for the Islamic countries to fulfill their religious and political duty towards the occupied city, which is being subjected to a large-scale and systematic Judaization campaign by the extremist Israeli occupation government.”
The head of the Jerusalem Affairs Office in Hamas stressed that the Islamic countries have the potential to pressure and influence the countries of the world economically and politically to curb the Israeli occupation and halt its crimes against the Palestinian people and Islamic sanctities.
Nasser al-Din stressed the need to implement the recommendations of previous Islamic summits that rejected enforcing any change to the status quo of the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On October 30, Saudi Arabia called for a joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit to be held in the Kingdom on November 11 to discuss the continued Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, and the developments of the current situation in the region.
