A Palestinian man was shot on Saturday by Israeli occupation forces (IOF), after Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians’ homes in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus.
Local sources reported that settlers attacked, under the IOF protection, citizens’ homes on the outskirts of the Al-Dabat neighborhood in the town, which led to the outbreak of confrontations in the area, amid IOF shooting.
The Red Crescent Society reported that its crews dealt with an injury of a 32-year-old man, with live bullets in the thigh, and he was transferred to hospital.
The Hamas official Abdurrahman Shadid cautioned that inaction towards the violence of the Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank would open their appetite for further killing, attacks, land robbery, building settlement outposts, sabotaging citizens’ property and burning Palestinian mosques, homes, and vehicles.
Shadid praised the steadfastness of the people of Beit Furik and their continuous insistence on confronting settlers’ attacks and defending their lands and property.
He stressed, in a press statement on Saturday, that the normal relation between the occupied Palestinian people in the West Bank and their occupiers of IOF and settlers is a relation of permanent confrontation and resistance by all means.
Shadid said what is going on in the West Bank is part of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war launched against Palestinians wherever they are, which aims to displace Palestinians to implement the Israeli plan of West Bank annexation.
The Hamas leader called for escalating resistance operations as well as confrontations and clashes with the IOF and settlers, stressing the need to mobilize to confront all settlers’ attacks and prevent them from carrying out more violations against the Palestinian people and their properties in the West Bank.
Beit Furik has come under constant attacks by Israeli settlers who burned last Saturday a number of vehicles and agricultural rooms in the town.
