The Israeli army bombed a site near the Lebanon-Syria border, on Saturday morning, in a new breach of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.

Lebanese sources said that Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes near border crossings with Syria, causing damage to the Lebanese Public Security Center.

The Israeli army claimed targeting “military infrastructure” near border crossings between Syria and Lebanon which, it said, were used by Hezbollah to transport weapons from Syria to Lebanon.

Israeli warplanes also launched a raid on the town of Al-Bissariya, Sidon district, in southern Lebanon and resulted in the injury of one person, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, Israeli tanks advanced into areas in Aiteron in southern Lebanon, taking advantage of the ceasefire.

Israel has carried out this attack in addition to 35 other violations since the ongoing Israel-Lebanon ceasefire took effect on Wednesday, ending over 14 months of fighting between the Israeli army and Hezbollah, the most violent since 2006 War.

Under the ceasefire terms, Israel is to withdraw its forces south of the Blue Line, in a phased manner, while the Lebanese army is tasked with deploying its forces in southern Lebanon within 60 days.
