The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and at dawn Sunday a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes in Nablus.
According to local sources, resistance fighters clashed with Israeli forces at an earlier hour today in Balata refugee camp in eastern Nablus.
The sources said that the clashes started after the IOF stormed the camp’s streets and flew some drones over the area, adding that resistance fighters showered Israeli soldiers with bullets and detonated explosive devices at their vehicles.
They also said that the IOF embarked on bulldozing public and private property during its raid in the camp.
In Tulkarem, the IOF kidnaped a young man called Amjad Faqha after releasing him yesterday to pressure his brother Zaid to turn himself in.
Israeli forces also kidnaped another ex-detainee from his home in Tulkarem’s Dinnaba suburb.
In Ramallah, two citizens were taken prisoners during an IOF raid in Shuqba village.
Two other young citizens were kidnaped by the IOF from their homes in Beit Sira village, west of Ramallah.
In al-Khalil, Israeli soldiers kidnaped two brothers identified as Yousef and Ismail Awad after severely beating them during an IOF raid in Khirbet Asfi hamlet in Masafer Yatta.
In east Jerusalem, Israeli police officers kidnaped a citizen from al-Ram town. He was identified as Ilyas Ghazawneh, the maternal uncle of martyr Tariq Ghazawneh who was shot dead yesterday at the Qalandia checkpoint.
