The Hamas Movement congratulated the Syrian people for achieving their aspirations for freedom and justice, calling on all components of the Syrian people to unite, achieve more national cohesion, and overcome the pain of the past.
Hamas said in a statement on Monday, “We and our Palestinian people stand firmly with the great Syrian people, and we support the unity of Syria and the integrity of its territories, and respect the Syrian people, their will, independence, and political choices.”
Hamas stressed that “the brotherly Syrian people are capable, Allah willing, by national unity, spirit of fraternity and tolerance, to overcome all challenges and pass through this critical stage in a way that achieves development, security, stability, and prosperity for Syria and its dear people.”
This is crucial “so that Syria can continue its historical and pivotal role in supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance to achieve the goals of their just cause, and that it can enhance its leadership role at the level of the Arab and Islamic nation, and at the regional and international levels,” it added.
Hamas, meanwhile, condemned, in the strongest terms, the frequent Israeli brutal aggressions against Syrian lands, stressing that it categorically rejects any “Zionist ambitions or plans targeting the Syrian land or people.”
