A delegation of Islamic Jihad Movement including its Secretary-General Ziyad al-Nakhala, and his deputy, Dr. Mohamed al-Hindi, arrived on Wednesday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The Jihad Movement said in a statement on Thursday that the visit came in response to an Egyptian invitation to discuss the developments of the prisoner exchange deal between the Palestinian resistance forces and Israel, and ways to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
An extensive Egyptian and Qatari efforts are being exerted to reach a ceasefire in the context of their efforts to stop the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip, which has left more than 150,000 martyrs and wounded since October 7, 2023.
