A Palestinian young man suffered a bullet injury on Saturday morning when extremist Jewish settlers escorted by soldiers attacked Yatma town, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, a horde of armed settlers attacked Palestinian homes in Yatma town under military protection before local residents tried to fend them off.
The sources said that a young man was injured by a bullet in his leg when Israeli forces opened fire at him during clashes between settlers and local residents in the town.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces intensified their security measures on the road connecting Jenin, Nablus and Tubas, where they intercepted cars and detained many passengers for security checks.
In a separate incident, another horde of settlers wreaked havoc on swaths of agricultural land and destroyed olive trees belonging to a local resident in Sahel Qa’un area in the northern Jordan Valley.
Another settler guarded by soldiers reportedly grazed his sheep on swaths of land belonging to Palestinian citizens in al-Mughayir village, east of Ramallah.
