A horde of extremist Jewish settlers set fire to a mosque and a tractor in Arab al-Malihat village, north of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, destroying them completely at dawn Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said that settlers infiltrated into the village in a car and set ablaze the Arab al-Malihat Mosque and a tractor before fleeing from the area.
It is believed that the settlers poured an inflammable substance inside the mosque before setting it alight.
Footage showed the flames engulfing the entire mosque, which sustained considerable damage.
Villagers said that it was hard for civil defense crews and fire trucks to reach their village to extinguish the flames.
The Arab al-Malihat villagers face frequent attacks by Jewish settlers, who attack them and their property and steal and kill their livestock.
The villagers live in a daily existential struggle against government-backed settlers, who work on forcing Palestinian residents to leave their villages and towns in the West Bank, especially in the Jordan Valley, Masafer Yatta and Nablus.
