A group of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian citizens and their homes in Masafer Yatta, south of Al-Khalil, in the southern West Bank on Monday.
The media activist Osama Makhmara said that a group of settlers attacked the homes of citizens in the village of Susiya in Masafer Yatta, and assaulted the family of Khader Al-Nawaja’ah.
The settlers’ attacks affected livestock, pastures, and citizens’ homes, in addition to shepherds and citizens, in an attempt to displace them from their lands for settlement expansion purposes.
Masafer Yatta represents a community of 12 Palestinian villages, in the city of Yatta in the southern West Bank, where its residents have been suffering from the threat of permanent forced displacement for decades due to the Israeli establishment of 10 settlements, outposts and Firing Zones 918 for military training in the vicinity of Yatta.
Last month, settlers carried out 230 attacks, concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Al-Khalil, Ramallah, and Jerusalem respectively, and carried out 68 vandalism and theft of Palestinian property.
