Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have continued their brutal aggression against Jenin city and camp for 95 consecutive days on Friday, amid repetitive raid and arrest campaigns targeting Palestinians, including children and women, in parallel with the ongoing siege and ongoing suffering of the displaced.
For more than three months, Israel’s killing machine in Jenin has not stopped. The latest victim was a 12-year-old boy, named Mahmoud Abu Al-Heija, who died of his serious injuries sustained when IOF’s soldiers shot him during clashes that broke out after the storming of Yamoun town, west of Jenin.
In recent days, the IOF has dispatched more military reinforcements and erected iron gates at the entrances to the Jenin camp, aiming at isolating the camp and tightening the noose around its inhabitants.
The IOF soldiers were deployed across many neighborhoods in the city and camp of Jenin and were bringing in additional reinforcements, coinciding with raids and incursions into the towns of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin, and Kufr Dan, as well as the Jabriyat neighborhood overlooking the camp, converting a number of homes into military barracks.
The IOF aggression has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 40 citizens, the displacement of 21,000 people, and complete/partial destruction and burning of 3,250 residential units, in addition to 93 residential buildings, comprising about 300 residential units, notified with demolition.
Since the onset of the aggression, 318 people have been arrested in the city and refugee camp of Jenin, and dozens have been subjected to field investigations.
The media committee in Jenin camp has called for urgent intervention to save and halt the citizens’ suffering from the ongoing aggression, stressing the need to support them, enhance their resilience, and provide them with all urgent needs.
