Abdul Rahman Shadid, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, affirmed that the all-out war waged by the Israeli occupation in the West Bank — through continuous aggression against Jenin and Tulkarem and the demolition of homes and structures in Al-Khalil, Jerusalem, and across the West Bank, “is nothing but a desperate attempt to undermine our people’s resistance and break the will of their popular base.”
In a press statement on Monday, Shadid explained that the demolition of homes in the West Bank, especially in Jenin and Tulkarem, is part of the occupation’s policy aimed at displacing Palestinians, threatening their stability, and accelerating plans for annexation and forced displacement.
He stressed that the occupation will not succeed in displacing our Palestinian people or eradicating their will, and that the occupation’s crimes will not deter the Palestinian people from continuing their resistance until “the full liberation of the land from the invaders.”
Shadid called on the Palestinian people and the resistance to escalate confrontation, resistance, and uprising against the occupation and its settlers across all arenas in the West Bank.
Alongside the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and settlers have expanded their attacks in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 956 people, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of 16,400 citizens, according to Palestinian data.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 169,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded — most of them children and women — as well as over 11,000 missing persons, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters.
