Thursday 10-November-2016

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out at dawn Thursday a large-scale raid and search campaign throughout the West Bank. 20 Palestinians were arrested during the campaign.

The IOF claimed that 20 “wanted” Palestinians were arrested today for being allegedly involved in anti-occupation attack.

Six Palestinians were arrested as IOF broke into Marka town south of Jenin while three activists in Hamas Movement were detained in Qalqilia Ramallah and Nablus.

Another young man was detained in Jalazoun refugee camp south of Ramallah.

Six other youths were arrested in Bethlehem while two young man affiliated with Hamas Movement were rounded up in al-Khalil. Two more youths were arrested near Jericho.

The Israeli military sources claimed that weapons were found during the search campaign into dozens of homes and workshops in Marka town south of Jenin.

Local sources affirmed that more than 100 Israeli soldiers stormed the town and broke into dozens of homes before arresting six Palestinians.

Another young man was arrested at a make-shift checkpoint erected south of Jenin.

Israeli forces have notably intensified their raid and arrest campaigns in occupied Jerusalem and West Bank since the outbreak of Jerusalem Intifada in October 2015.
