20 Palestinians kidnapped by IOF in predawn sweep

Wednesday 15-February-2017

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Wednesday kidnapped 20 Palestinians from the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation army claimed responsibility for the abduction of 20 Palestinians on suspicion of involvement in anti-occupation protests and activities.

The campaign targeted four Palestinians from Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun seven from Ramallah including a Hamas affiliate two from Hussan town west of Bethlehem and six others from al-Khalil province.

Another Palestinian—Saad al-Zgheir— was kidnapped by the Israeli forces from Jerusalem’s northern town of Kafr Akeb.

The Israeli army claimed that home-made weapons were detected in Kafr Ne’ma near Ramallah and that 15 Palestinian vehicles were seized in Hussan and Ni’ilin for being used in anti-occupation activities.

The IOF further rummaged into Palestinian homes in Azzoun Beit Furik and Beit Ummar.

20 Palestinians kidnapped by IOF in predawn sweep

Sunday 23-October-2016

At least 20 Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the West Bank and Jerusalem at dawn Sunday.

The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the abduction of a Hamas activist from Qalqilya and another citizen from the northern Jordan Valley on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.

The Israeli 0404 news website said the IOF misappropriated cash from Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun and al-Khalil’s northern town of Sa’ir on claims that it is allocated to anti-occupation activities.

The IOF further stormed Kafr Thulth town to the east of Qalqilya and summoned the ex-prisoner Ali Shawahna to questioning. Shawhna was released just a few months earlier from Israeli jails where he had served a 14-year-sentence.

An abrupt sweep launched by the occupation army on Jerusalem city at predawn time culminated in the abduction of 18 Palestinians.

The campaign targeted eight Palestinians from Silwan four from al-Issawiya three from Jabal Al-Mukbir and three others from the Shu’fat camp.

Violent clashes rocked the Shu’fat camp where the IOF attacked the Palestinian protesters with live rounds and teargas canisters.

A Palestinian protester sustained live bullet wounds while several others were left wounded in the attack.
