Medical sources reported that 98 Palestinians were injured on Sunday evening during clashes with the Israeli police in Abu Deis town east of Occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that 87 of the injured suffered breathing difficulties as they were heavily showered with tear gas canisters.
The clashes broke out after a group of Palestinian youths set tires on fire near the separation wall in Abu Deis in protest at Gaza massacre.
The Israeli army has killed 17 Palestinians and injured more than 1500 since the Great March of Return was launched in the Gaza Strip on Friday.
In another context local sources reported that the Israeli police forces in large numbers stormed Shu’fat refugee camp northeast of Jerusalem on Sunday and arrested four Palestinians including a young woman without any apparent reason.
Meanwhile Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that another Palestinian woman was arrested by the Israeli police near Bab al-Amud area and taken for interrogation.
