The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday launched arrest campaigns in the West Bank that targeted relatives of a Palestinian youth accused of carrying out a stabbing attack near Ariel settlement recently.
Israel claims that the Palestinian youth Adel Asi 19 appeared in a video stabbing an Israeli settler to death near Ariel settlement in Salfit.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF at dawn Sunday arrested Adel’s brother Ya’cob and his cousin Ibrahim after raiding their houses in Nablus.
Another campaign was reported in different areas of Occupied Jerusalem in which four Palestinians were arrested.
A Palestinian youth was arrested in Jericho while another was handed a summons to appear before the Israeli intelligence for interrogation.
The IOF at night Saturday arrested the Palestinian student Mohammed al-Namrouti 25 who studies law at the Arab American University at a checkpoint near Jenin.
Al-Namrouti’s brother said that Mohammed was arrested several times before by the IOF and the last time he was arrested he spent three years in Israeli jails.
