Violent clashes erupted on Saturday between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at the southern entrance to Halhoul town after the funeral of martyr Hamza Zamara in al-Khalil.
The PIC reporter said that Palestinian outraged youths headed to Halhoul Bridge area after the funeral closed the main road and torched car tires in protest at the Israeli repeated crimes and killing of Palestinians.
IOF soldiers showered the protesters with tear gas grenades and rubber bullets resulting in suffocation among many Palestinians who were treated in the field.
In al-Hawawer area north of the city Palestinian youths also attacked the cars of settlers with stones and empty bottles. Meanwhile IOF troops rushed to the area closed all roads leading to Halhoul town and dispersed the protesters with tear gas canisters in addition to rubber and live bullets.
As a result a 17-year-old Palestinian boy Khalil Henaihen was injured by a bullet in his thigh after which he was transferred to the hospital.
