Dozens suffer breathing difficulties in confrontations in southern al-Khalil

AL-KHALIL (PIC)– Confrontations between young Palestinians and IOF troops took place Friday at dawn in the southern neighbourhoods of the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil. Dozens of Palestinians suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling teargas.

The teargas which was fired by the IOF troops also affected a number of families who live in the vicinity. The occupation troops withdrew at 4:00 am.

IOF troops also raided the second Hawouz neighbourhood in al-Khalil as other neighbourhoods witnessed IOF intensified activity.

The occupation troops raided the Beir Haram al-Rama neighbourhood and the old city without any arrests reported.

Meanwhile IOF troops arrested at dawn Friday a university student in the town of Dura to the south west of al-Khalil.

IOF troops also set up a roadblock at the Fawwar junction in the southern part of al-Khalil district holding up traffic examining passenger ID cards and searching their cars.
