Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas on Monday called for resisting the Israeli government’s decision which allows Israeli ministers and MKs to enter al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas’s spokesman Fawzi Barhoum in a press statement called on the Palestinians to defend al-Aqsa Mosque with all their strength.
Barhoum pointed out that the decision comes within the framework of a systematic Israeli policy targeting Palestinian holy sites and held the Israeli government responsible for the consequences of this move.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday approved a decision to lift the ban imposed on MKs’ entry into al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to Israeli media sources the decision allows MKs to visit the Mosque starting Tuesday and if the visit goes smoothly new steps will be considered.
