Head of the political bureau of Hamas and former prime minister of Palestine Ismail Haneyya expressing his condolences on the death of the veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani said that Syed Ali Gilani was also a strong voice for the oppressed people of Palestine.
Haneyya talking to Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi on the phone said the death of Syed Ali Gilani has also saddened the Palestinians.
He said that Syed Ali Gilani was a practical example of the struggle and had dedicated his entire life to the freedom of Kashmir from Indian subjugation.
The Hamas chief has also written a letter to Gilani’s family Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir leadership and the Kashmiris in which he has paid glowing tributes to Syed Ali Gilani for his contributions towards the Kashmir and Palestine freedom movements.
