The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Wednesday kidnaped several Palestinian citizens including a Hamas official during campaigns in the West Bank.
According to local sources the IOF stormed last night Umm ash-Sharayet neighborhood in Bireh City (Ramallah) and kidnaped senior Hamas official Jamal at-Tawil from his home.
Jamal at-Tawil is one of the prominent Hamas officials in Ramallah and already spent a total of 17 years in Israeli jails. His daughter Bushra has been in Israeli detention since November 2020 and his son Yehya was kidnaped by the IOF from his home in Bireh about six days ago.
The IOF also stormed the Ramallah towns of Silwad and Beit Sira and kidnaped two young men from their homes. The detainees were identified as Saleh Siyaga and Rami Hamdan.
Seven other citizens were taken prisoners during IOF campaigns in different areas of Bethlehem while four others including two teenagers were kidnaped from their homes in al-Khalil City and al-Arroub refugee camp.
The IOF also stormed Deir Sharaf village in the northwest of Nablus and kidnaped two citizens identified as Hisham Faqha and Ward al-Antari.
