The Hamas Movement on Tuesday released a strongly wordedstatement on the ongoing Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip and the UN positionin this regard following the meeting it held with leaders of the Palestinianresistance factions.
In its statement the Hamas leadership led by Yehya as-Sinwarwarned the Israeli occupation state and its allies of any delay in ending theblockade on Gaza and honoring what had been agreed upon in this regard or anyattempt to impede the reconstruction process.
“Our great people and resistance will not remain silent atall and the enemy will see that we are ready for all options and will resist itwith all means we have” Hamas underlined.
“The enemy will not succeed in its extortion andarm-twisting policy and we will not condone any attempt to pressure our peopleor mixing the files together” Hamas said adding that “the prisoners are in exchangefor prisoners.”
Its statement also strongly denounced the UN for its connivancewith the Israeli occupation through keeping it off its list of shame andcriticized the supportive position of its peace envoy towards Israel.
“The United Nation is an international political andhumanitarian organization responsible for achieving peace and helping peopleswho are in particular under occupation and not colluding with and supporting anoccupying power against a defenseless people who are subjected to various formsof extortion and siege.” Hamas highlighted.
The statement called on the UN secretary-general to stand bythe Palestinian people enforce dozens of international resolutions that wereissued in their favor and work on obligating Israel as an occupying power toabide by the international law.
