Hamas late on Wednesday evening held the Israeli occupation responsible for the repercussions of its “barbaric” and “dangerous” escalation against the Palestinian detainees particularly in Nafha and Negev jails.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum warned of the aftermaths of the “terrorist” and “suppressive” policies pursued by the Israeli prison authorities against the Palestinian detainees.
According to Barhoum a prisoner uprising is just round the corner due to Israel’s simmering aggressions against the Palestinians.
He called for mobilizing mass support for the prisoner movement in Israeli jails and for taking immediate action to urge the Israeli occupation to cease its aggressions against the Palestinian prisoners.
Hamas also urged all human rights institutions to speak up for the prisoners and work on bringing such Israeli crimes to a halt.
Hamas further hailed the detainees’ iron will and perseverance in the face of Israel’s mounting terrorism.
The group acclaimed the stabbing attacks carried out by two Palestinian detainees against Israeli prison officers dubbing the operations acts of self-defense and natural responses to Israel’s incessant violations.
