Ismail Haneyya the political bureau chairman of Hamas Movement has hailed the struggle and sacrifice of freed Palestinian prisoner Mansour al-Shahatit and his steadfastness in Israeli occupation jails.
A statement by Hamas said that Haneyya reached the father of Shahatit over the phone on Saturday evening and affirmed that his son is one of the heroes of Hamas and the Palestinian people.
The Hamas leader expressed absolute solidarity with Shahatit who suffered a lot at the hands of Israeli occupation and its jailers.
He said that his Movement was ready to support Shahatit until he overcomes his current ordeal that was caused by the Israeli occupation’s savagery.
For his part the father thanked Haneyya for his call and praised the Movement and its steadfastness and appreciated Haneyya’s solidarity with his son affirming that his son will eventually overcome his ordeal and will be stronger than occupation.
