NABLUS (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) approved the erection of 23 mobile classrooms in eight Israeli settlements in the West Bank to cater for 600 students in the area.
An Israeli official who requested anonymity said the decision was made as a result of security problems in some of the classrooms two weeks ago. Israeli officials claim the erection of classrooms is not political or in violation of the government’s settlement freeze decision last year.
The anti-settlement “Peace Now” organization reported that the partial freeze on settlement expansion was violated 492 times in 60 West Bank settlements.
