The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday evening confiscated a Palestinian-owned bulldozer in Kafr Qaddum town east of Qalqilya in the West Bank in order to prevent local farmers from leveling a strip of land and using it as a road.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli soldiers intercepted the bulldozer driver Amjad Jum’ah as he working on leveling the land and detained him for some hours before seizing his bulldozer.
They added that the bulldozer was hired to make an agricultural dirt road in the area in order to facilitate the movement of local farmers in the eastern area of Kafr Qaddum.
The municipal council of Kafr Qaddum affirmed that it had sent the bulldozer to build the road for agricultural purposes.
A large area of Kafr Qaddum town is located behind Israel’s separation wall and its lands are constantly devoured by Israel’s settlement expansion.
