IOF gunboats shoot at Palestinian marine police chase fishing boats

RAFAH (PIC)– IOF gunboats fired at a position for the PA marine police and Palestinian fishing boats off the Rafah coast in southern Gaza Strip at dawn Monday local sources told PIC correspondent.

They said that the gunboats opened their heavy machineguns at the police position and chased the Palestinian fishing boats but no casualties were reported.

The sources said that members of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas took part in confronting the IOF attack that was coupled with intensive hovering of IOF choppers.

The IOF gunboats last night also fired at the Rafah coast with no casualties reported.

Meanwhile the Salahuddin Brigades the armed wing of the popular resistance committees declared responsibility for detonating an explosive device in an IOF jeep and firing an RPG at it east of Qarara village in Khan Younis district on Sunday evening.

The armed wing said its fighters engaged the IOF patrol for ten minutes before returning safely to bases.
 
In the West Bank IOF troops rolled into a number of cities and towns at dawn Monday and rounded up four “wanted activists” according to the Hebrew radio.
It claimed that an M-16 rifle was found in the possession of one of the detained Palestinians in Yatta town south of Al-Khalil city.
The broadcast also said that the IOF soldiers detained a 17-year-old Palestinian girl in Tel Al-Rumaida in downtown Al-Khalil after trying to stab one of those soldiers.
