The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) shot and killed eight Palestinian students and teachers in five months Palestinian official sources revealed Wednesday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Education affirmed that eight Palestinian teachers and students were killed between June and October 2016 while more than 600 others were injured.
More than 13000 Palestinian students and nearly 1000 teachers were subjected to different attacks at the hands of Israeli soldiers.
79 schools were also damaged in Israeli attacks during the reported period.
The Ministry pointed out that 48 students seven teachers and three of its employees were arrested by Israeli forces.
Three other students were kidnapped by Israeli settlers while 568 students and teachers suffered different injuries during settler attacks.
The Ministry called on human rights organizations to intervene urgently in order to put an end to Israel’s deliberate and systematic attacks on the Palestinian educational sector.
