The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Sunday opened fire at the northern and eastern areas of the Gaza Strip adjacent to the border fence without any injuries reported.
The local agency SAFA reported that IOF soldiers opened machinegun fire from military vehicles and watchtowers at intervals throughout the hours of Saturday night and early Sunday morning at agricultural lands and areas adjacent to the eastern and northern borders of the Strip due to the prevalence of foggy weather.
The shooting was focused in the east of Khan Yunis the eastern neighborhoods of Al-Shujaiya and Al-Zaitoun east of Gaza City and the eastern towns of Jabalia and Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.
The farmers were unable to access their agricultural lands for fear of being shot by random bullets according to SAFA.
Usually during fog IOF opens machinegun fire intensively and sometimes even artillery fire at the border areas of the Gaza Strip at the pretext of deterring any infiltration attempt into 1948 Occupied Palestine.
