The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) claimed they arrested at dawn Sunday 15 wanted Palestinian citizens during campaigns in different West Bank areas.
However local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that a large number of Israel soldiers stormed Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil and raided the house of Abdul-Rahman Awad in order to arrest his son Bilal.
The sources pointed out that a female soldier assaulted his daughter Ayeh during the raid.
After they did not find Bilal in the house the soldiers stormed a bakery in the town where he was working and rounded him up the sources added.
The same military force also kidnapped a Palestinian ex-detainee in the town called Mohamed al-Salibi and confiscated his car.
Both Bilal and Mohamed were taken to the Etzion military base north of Beit Ummar town.
In al-Khalil city the IOF kidnapped two young men identified as Rashid Abu Hadid and Samer al-Dajani after raiding a house in Abu Asnaineh neighborhood and several apartments in al-Qawasmeh building in Abu Katila area.
Local sources in al-Khalil also reported that a horde of Jewish settlers tried to set fire to a Mosque in al-Tuwana village south of Yatta city but local young residents confronted them before soldiers showed up and fired tear gas grenades to protect the settlers.
One young man suffered an injury during the events in al-Tuwana village.
In Bethlehem an Israeli military force stormed al-Deheisheh refugee camp ransacked a house belonging to Mousa al-Khamour and occupied rooftops of some nearby homes during the raid.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC that the IOF sent at first plain-clothes soldiers aboard a civilian car carrying a Palestinian license plate to the camp in an attempt to arrest Murad Mousa al-Khamour a 21-year-old activist from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Later Israeli soldiers broke into his house and caused widespread damage to the furniture after they did not find Murad.
A family source said that a Shin Bet officer threatened to kill Murad if he did not turn himself in.
During the IOF campaign in al-Deheisheh camp local young men clashed with Israeli soldiers and hurled stones at them injuirng an officer.
Consequently the soldiers started to fire live ammunition and volleys of tear gas and stun grenades at the young men wounding one of them with a bullet in his belly.
The IOF also launched arrest campaigns in other areas of the West Bank. Its forces reportedly kidnapped three young men following raids on homes in Qabatiya town in Jenin.
Two others were also taken prisoners during similar campaigns in Qalqilya city and Aboud village northwest of Ramallah.
