Thursday 1-February-2007

NABLUS (PIC)– The IOF troops killed two Palestinian fighters in the West Bank city of Nablus at dawn Thursday in fierce armed clashes in the city’s old town Palestinian security sources affirmed.

The sources added that large numbers of IOF troops backed by military vehicles stormed the Khan Al-Tujjar and Bab Al-Saha areas in the old town prompting the armed clashes.

The two martyrs the sources unveiled were identified as Amer Bassam Kalbona and Wael Awad both 21 of the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades the armed wing of Fatah in the city.

However Palestinian medical sources affirmed that one of the martyrs was liquidated in cold blood. The other martyr the sources added was beaten up and suffered fractures in different parts of his body before he succumbed to his wounds.

The IOF troops blocked Palestinian ambulances from reaching and rescuing the two martyrs as they seized paramedics and ordered them to take off their clothes in clear deliberate intimidation.

Two more Palestinian youths Muhsen Al-Zarra and Mohammed Badei Kara’an were kidnapped at the hands of the IOF troops in the city’s Balata refugee camp.

On Wednesday the IOF troops stormed the city and kidnapped the Islamic Jihad activist Nasser Jawabra and his wounded wife who was injured in the raid.

IOF atrocities against the Palestinian people in the West Bank had noticeably escalated over the past few months as hundreds of Palestinian youths were arrested and placed in Israeli detention centers while tens others were killed or wounded.
