IOF troops kidnap Islamic Jihad activist and his wounded wife

NABLUS (PIC)– IOF troops Wednesday night raided Nablus the largest West Bank city and kidnapped one of the Islamic Jihad activists in the city along with his wife that was wounded in the raid.

Local sources reported that an IOF commando unit which was later backed by army troops encircled the home of Nasser Jawabra 32 and fired at it wounding the wife and a child.

The invading troops then arrested Jawabra and his wife while the wounded child was carried to an Israeli hospital.

Jawabra has been wanted for the IOF troops for a long time. He is the brother of martyr Osama Jawabra one of the AMB commanders who was killed at the start of the Aqsa intifada after the IOF booby trapped a public telephone in the Old City of Nablus which later exploded in him.

Meanwhile the lawyer Shireen Nasser of the Palestinian prisoner’s club has reported that Palestinian sick captives in the Israeli prison hospital of Ramle were held in inhuman conditions.

She said that one of those sick captive was a 16-year-old minor who is suffering heart ailment and was in need of extra health care.

The lawyer said that Mohammed Masalma who was arrested since 8 December 2006 is a secondary school student in Dura Al-Khalil district. The child told the lawyer that he was arrested in the Ibrahimi Mosque and taken to the Kiryat Arba settlement where he was questioned about reason for his presence there.

The heart patient said that the Israeli intelligence officer beat him on both his feet and hands with a baton before sitting on him and forcing him to sign papers which he did not understand. He further said that treatment in the prison hospital was very bad and that he was beaten on his way to court.
