JENIN (PIC)– Mohammed Amin Farahati one of the AMB commanders in the Jenin refugee camp was killed over night Saturday in an armed clash with an invading IOF unit in the camp.
Witnesses said that IOF soldiers mounting 30 armored vehicles advanced into the camp shortly after midnight Saturday and were met with stiff resistance on the part of Palestinian activists.
They said that Farahati 21 was hit with several bullets in the head and chest at the hands of an IOF sniper in one of the camp’s alleys and was left to bleed to death after the IOF soldiers prevented medical teams from approaching him.
Farahati was in charge of a liaison unit dubbed “Belt of Fire” coordinating between the AMB the armed wing of Fatah faction and the Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in the camp.
Local sources said that the incursion was coupled with storming and ransacking many Palestinian homes in the camp and the city of Jenin in search of resistance operatives.
Farahati was killed only few hours after the IOF killed another Palestinian citizen in Nablus city during an incursion Saturday night during which three other civilians were wounded.
Meanwhile in Bethlehem district IOF troops at dawn Sunday stormed the village of Beit Fajjar and rounded up four Palestinian young men.
