The Israeli occupation army on Wednesday afternoon fired an artillery shell at an observation post belonging to the Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli artillery bombing came after Israeli allegations that Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at an Israeli military vehicle that entered the southern city of Khan Yunis.
The Israeli Maariv newspaper said “An Israeli army force operating in the Kissufim area at the borders of the Gaza Strip came under fire. There were no injuries among the soldiers.”
The spokesman for the Israeli army added “In a follow-up to the reports of shooting at an army vehicle at the borders of the Gaza Strip an Israeli tank attacked a Hamas position. There were no casualties among the soldiers while minor damage was caused to the vehicle.”
An Israeli website claimed that four bullets were fired at an Israeli army bulldozer which was operating near the borderline in Khan Yunis.
