Israeli gunboats on Tuesday morning opened fire at Palestinian fishermen north of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Local sources affirmed that Israeli gunboats opened fire from heavy machine guns in the morning at fishermen and their boats off the northern coast of northern Gaza.
The fishing boats were attacked off the shore of al-Sudania area north of Beit Lahiya district the sources added.
No injuries were initially reported during the armed attack.
Since it accepted an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement in 2014 Israel has committed several violations in Gaza including daily gunfire attacks on farmers and fishermen.
