The Israeli occupation navy on Monday attacked a fishing boat off the coast of the besieged Gaza Strip claiming it responded to a security threat.
Zakaria Baker coordinator of the Palestinian fishermen committees told Quds Press that an Israeli gunboat fired today two projectiles into the waters near a fishing boat during its presence off the shores of Gaza.
Baker added that the projectile attack did not hurt any fisherman or cause material damage to boats.
The Israeli army claimed its forces spotted suspicious naval activity in the maritime zone along Gaza which posed a potential threat to Israeli naval vessels adding that the activity was neutralized.
